Blue Flag beaches on the Costa Blanca – Alicante

The Costa Blanca, with more than two hundred kilometers of coast, is again this year the tourist destination with more blue flags of Spain.

The province of Alicante has obtained 74 Blue Flags on its beaches this 2022, remaining faithful to its second national place in regards to this award, including a new beach to the list of awards, the Playa de La Ermita, in Santa Pola.

Alicante is always in the lead in the Blue Flags lists and since 2018 it has not stopped marking new historical highs every year, becoming one of the favorite destinations for tourists looking for nice and well maintained beaches.

It is also necessary to mention that within the province of Alicante there are municipalities such as Xàbia, whose three beaches have been awarded consecutively every year since 2007, like Benissa.

Likewise, Orihuela also belongs to Alicante and is in the top 10 locations with more Blue Flags in history.
