This year, for the first time in history, Finca Cortesín is hosting the largest team competition of the best professional golfers, the Soheim Cup in which the most talented players from Europe and the United States will compete.

The 2023 Solheim Cup represents a unique opportunity to reinforce its position as a safe tourist destination, in addition to strengthening its commitment to women’s sports in a sustainable event with international impact that is held every two years. The competition format includes singles matches, pairs matches and team matches, and the goal is to accumulate points to win the cup in an exciting battle between Europe and the United States.

Finca Cortesín is the first venue in Spain for the Solheim Cup that is currently taking place. This world-famous resort has already hosted three editions of the European Tour’s Volvo World Match Play Championship in advance and has been named on several occasions as one of the five best Spanish golf courses in specialized media such as Golf World and Golf Digest.

It has 18 holes where European and American teams will compete to compete for the Soheim Cup in 2023.

The event began on September 18, 2023 and will end this Sunday, September 24, 2023 where the winning team of this year’s Soheim Cup will be announced.

· On the first day and second day, 4 foursomes were played in the morning (from 8:10 a.m. to 8:46 a.m. departures will take place) and 4 fourballs in the afternoon (between 1:40 p.m. and 2:25 p.m.).

· On Friday and Saturday the doors of Finca Cortesín will open at 6:00 in the morning and on Sunday at 8:30. On this last day, 12 decisive singles are played.
